At age 18, I stepped onto the plane by myself and left my hometown: Hong Kong. This step captured a pattern I repeated over and over in my life: Stepping into uncertainty, taking risks, while at the same time facing my fears. The Chinese word for Crisis is comprised of the characters “danger” and “opportunity”.

Life is not easy; life throws us challenges when we are least prepared. Yet crisis and transitions can be an opportunity for growth.

The journey is not easy, and we need all the support and guidance we can get. But I believe we all have the strength and wisdom within us to not only overcome but to strive. Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, life transition, parenting challenges and/or relational difficulties, I would be honored to be invited to walk along and support you.

Since I left Hong Kong, I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Calvin College, Michigan, have pursued a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a post-graduate certificate in Medical Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, ASSECT Certified Sex Therapist, Brainspotting practitioner, Mental Health Professional, Child Mental Health Professional, State Approved Supervisor and Asian and Pacific Islander Ethnic Minority Population Specialist, and an AAMFT (American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists) Approved Supervisor.

From 2010 to 2022, I have been an Adjunct Faculty member at the Marriage and Family Therapy Program at Seattle Pacific University, supervising practicum students and teaching an Assessment and Measurement Course.

My passion is to work with adults 18+ individually or in relationships. My calling is to work alongside others, on their journey of healing, self-discovery, and finding fulfillment in life. I embrace people from all walks of life, different cultural backgrounds, and different lifestyles. I also have a special interest in relationships, I strive to help people work toward healthier and more fulfilling sexual and intimate relationships.

I utilize a variety of therapy models including: attachment therapy, Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy, Mindfulness and therapy. My passion is to help individuals and families discover their strengths and resources. On your journey toward growth and fulfillment, it is my job to facilitate communication and to provide a safe environment, support, and guidance for change to take place.

I am also a mother, a daughter, a sister, a wife, a member of a community church, and an adult ice skater.

When I am not working, you can often find me at one of the local rinks, leaning into my vulnerability and embodiment.
